These amazing perennials love shade to part sun. They come in many colors, textures and growth habits. Fairly maintenance free once established. Thrives in slightly dryer conditions with well drained rich soil. Avoid planting too deeply.

Hostas are your friends for the shade. They come in amazing colors from blue, yellow, green and even red trimmings! Great for filling your areas in gardens, borders or just here and there to add interest around trees etc. These plants are incredibly versatile and fun. If you've never tried one.....well, try one! You'll be hooked.
Plant in shade- part sun with well drained soil. Water well until established. Be careful not to plant too deeply.
Easy maintenance plant.

We carry a variety of ferns from hardy to hard-to-find. Some varieties thrive in more dry and sun, while others like the deep shade and neglect. Some of our favorites include a great stash of evergreen ferns also! Try a fern to add delicate and/or tropical interest to your garden.

Helleborus varieties are amazing for evergreen foliage with beautiful out of season blooms! These plants are great to disperse throughout your garden for blooms when nothing else is even growing yet. The foliage on these plants are a thick, shiny and hardy texture that are evergreen to semi-evergreen. Helleborus tend to spread at a moderate rate as a ground cover! The blooms are purely elegant and surprising since most bloom during winter months! We have many new cultivars that bloom upright, have variegated foliage (red-tinged) and even bloom during their first season!

Our stock changes in this category constantly. We try and carry amazing species that will enhance any yard. Some characteristics include fall color, berries/fruit, native variety, water loving, drought friendly, blossoms and evergreen foliage. We are more shade and native friendly and love finding rare or hard-to-find species.

We are very proud of our native selections! Most are friends of the shade. We carry a variety of hard-to-find bulbs, wild flowers and even native shrubs. This category can't be found just anywhere in the state. We value keeping stocked with the most trendy natives and never forget the tried and true either. Many hold medicinal value, myths/legends and just nostalgia from your own childhood. These plants add so much history and storytelling to your garden.
